Ticket Scalping
Each ticket you purchase from us is a revocable license to attend a particular performance. Straz Center sets ticket maximums per account and/or household for the complete run of any show, regardless of the number of performances, and attempts to purchase more than the maximum can result in the license (ticket) being revoked and the money returned. Additionally, under Florida Statutes 817.36 Resale of Tickets, which took effect July 1, 2009, it is illegal for any person or entity to offer or resell a ticket to any performance at Straz Center for the Performing Arts for more than $1 over the face value of the ticket. Substantial penalties are in place for violators. All Straz Center tickets are covered by the statute and contain a notice that they cannot be resold for more than $1 over the face value of the ticket. We have the right to revoke the license (ticket) and void the sale if we find a Straz Center ticket was offered or sold in violation of this statute. To keep our tickets affordable and accessible, violators will be prosecuted.
Lost/Missing Tickets
Any tickets lost, stolen or missing – for any reason – will be reissue with a new one-of-a-kind barcode.
